Systems Directorate is a Windows based computer management framework designed to manage both desktops and servers in a small to large environment. It is currently in development status with hopes of a release in 2015. The goal is to release the application as a free tool for administrators to use.
Some of the main features of the system are:
- Data collection including inventory and performance data
- Software distribution (not available yet)
- CMDB
- User created tools that can be run on agents or servers.
- Monitoring
- Event management console
- Simple ticketing system with manual or automated ticketing from events
- Notification facilities for teams and users
- Integrated Python based scripting via IronPython.NET
- Workload scheduling (not available yet)
- Scaling via an interconnected framework of servers (not available yet)
The core of the system includes agent and server components along with a web based GUI administration and communication tool. Both are based on .NET 4.5.1 and can be installed in minutes. Support for UNIX agents will come in the future for Linux and Mac operating systems.
